Welcome to the Lake Country Retriever Club, located near Prior Lake, MN. We are a retriever club with members involved in many activities that include dogs but focus primarily on AKC Hunt Tests. We host two AKC Hunt Tests in the summer and three Challenge Hunts during the winter. For training, a typical year will include Pro Training nights, field trips, and seminars as well as training nights on Tuesday and Thursday. These training events are tailored to help both dog and handler improve their skills.

What can the club do for me?

The main reason most of us join a retriever club is to spend time with our dogs and hopefully end up with a better retriever.  After you are a member for a few years, you find one of the big reasons you continue with LCRC are the friends you meet here.

Each year events change with new things happening all the time. LCRC holds many events for both beginners as well as for the more advanced members. The following opportunities highlight the events and benefits here at LCRC. So join, get involved and ask questions. We are always here to help.

  • Training at the MN Horse and Hunt 160 grounds April - August:
    • Tuesday & Thursday 12:00 PM to Dusk Training Access
    • Saturday 8:00 AM to Dusk Training Access
  • Weekly Coordinate Horse and Hunt Training Sessions and Access
  • Training Groups
