SUMMARY:Northern Flight Hunting Retrievers Association AKC ADVANCED JUDGES SEMINAR (Limit 50)
DESCRIPTION:This Seminar has been designed for Judges that have attended the basic one day AKC Hunting Test Seminar and have attained some judging experience through apprenticeships and/or actual judging. \nThis Seminar is Open To Anyone but it does not count as the initial one day AKC Basic Seminar. They cover different subject matter. \nThis Seminar has been designed to enhance the Retriever Hunting Test Program by assuring the regulations and guidelines\, test requirements are understood and are being met. Also\, that the standards for all levels of testing\nare being maintained through fully knowledgeable judges. \nAreas:\nPurpose of the Retriever Hunting Tests – What to expect when you are asked to Judge – Judge’s responsibilities – Pre-Test responsibilities – Planning the Hunting situation – Judge’s Authority – The day of your Test – Dog’s abilities – Scoring. \nFormat:\nThis is a two day seminar with one day spent in the classroom indoors and then one day spent outdoors developing and running tests at the three levels. Participants will have the opportunity to watch\, judge and score each dogs performance on the tests designed. We will then have the time to critique each dog’s performance and why the scores were assigned. We usually run three dogs at each level – Junior\, Senior and Master.
